Why Helpa exists

Retailers lose stock, time and confidence to theft. Too often there is no organised way to document what happened, keep evidence together and follow up on cases that could be viable.

Helpa's mission is to give independent shops and larger retail businesses a calm, practical place to report incidents, receive appropriate intelligence from authorised participating retailers, and pursue eligible losses through a proper process.

• Privacy first: incident records and evidence are restricted to the people who need them.
• Accuracy: we never publish blacklists or label anyone based on an allegation.
• Honesty: not every incident qualifies for recovery, and we say so clearly.
• Fairness: anyone can report inaccurate information and ask for a review.
